Since the Housing Authority launched the Wa Fu Estate Reconstruction Project in 2019, we have experienced many unforgettable moments with everyone. During this period, we have held more than 18 public participation workshops, collaborated with more than 30 non-governmental organizations, and released a total of seven issues of the 'Wa Fu Estate Resident Newsletter'. Every step of the way, we have worked hand in hand to build a future that belongs to Wa Fu.
The project team has been working hard to incorporate the unique cultural and historical elements of Wa Fu into the architectural design of the receiving estate and the future new Wa Fu Estate, and to pass on the lifestyle and culture of Wa Fu people through space upgrade and transformation, so that this warm and heartfelt Wa Fu story will continue.
Coincidentally, the Housing Department has been actively promoting green living in Wa Fu Estate this year. In April, we launched the 'Green Wa Fu' series of activities, including 'Home Improvement' - volunteer teams making simple repairs in residents' homes, and 'Dragon Head Weaving' - a parent-child workshop on dragon head weaving. The upcoming grand finale - the 'Carnival' - will be held on Sunday, July 5, with a rich lineup of programs, including:
Ceremony and community performances
Environmental protection-themed booth games
Upgrade and transformation workshops
Wa Fu Hall immersive experience
Participants can easily learn about green living through games and workshops, and explore more possibilities for environmentally friendly living.
Friends who come to attend the ceremony and participate in the 'Carnival' activities on that day will also receive a limited edition lucky bag! Quantities are limited, so come early and don't miss out! See you there!
